All you wanted to know about the SpaceSwap project: our latest AMA session summary

On 24 February at 10:00 EST, SpaceSwap organized an AMA session with its CEO Vladimir Nikitin. He answered users’ most burning questions and disclosed some secrets about future partnerships, products and upcoming changes. If you missed it, don’t worry - here’s a detailed summary of the stream.

Partnerships & Collaborations

SpaceSwap continues expanding its network of partners. So far, the team has concentrated on working with blockchain developers to boost its technological stack. Without the current partnerships, the transition to Binance Smart Chain would have been impossible. Yet, this is only the beginning. Expect collaborations with Huobi Eco Chain and Horizen in the near future.

When answering the question about connection to Coinbase Wallet, Vladimir Nikitin emphasized that currently, the team is focused on the BSC integration, which is helping to solve the more pressing problem of high fees. However, connection to new wallets is only a matter of time. Expect new options besides MetaMask.

Connection to Binance Smart Chain is successfully completed

On 24 February, SpaceSwap connected to Binance Smart Chain. With this in place, users can take advantage of minimized fees and enjoy staking their coins on new pools via PancakeSwap: MILK2/BNB, SHAKE/BNB and MILK2/SHAKE.

Thanks to the Blockchain Bridge, it’s possible to exchange ERC-20 MILK2 for BEP-20 MILK2. It costs the Ethereum Gas fee plus 30 MILK2. Conversion from BEP-20 MILK2 to ERC-20 MILK2 costs 13 MILK2

By the way, during the first three days of farming, users can enjoy an increased reward for block generation (x2 higher than on the Ethereum network). The coins will be distributed in the following way:

  • 5 MILK2 from each transaction goes to SHAKE holders
  • 5 MILK2 from each transaction is for project marketing
  • The rest of the MILK2 goes to cover blockchain transaction expenses

MILK2 rewards will be distributed after every 100,000 blocks mined on Ethereum or 466,000 blocks on BSC.

Upcoming Products

SpaceSwap has huge plans in the works, including the launch of various useful products. In the near future, you will be able to try:

  • SpaceLend. This decentralized lending/borrowing protocol serves as a one-stop DeFi station that’s based on numerous collateral mechanisms like Aave and Compound. The team united the best of both worlds to ensure optimal borrowing/lending conditions.
  • SpaceStarter. The new decentralized crowd-funding platform will enable new DeFi projects to raise funds in the form of MILK2 and SHAKE tokens. SpaceSwap will give prospective projects a chance to get a helping hand from the community, even if they don’t comply with the strict standard and requirements yet. Users will decide which platforms deserve their support.

With the work on the BSC connection done, the SpaceSwap team is working on further products such as Gravity and SSI

Is combining Ethereum and BSC safe?

Yes, users don’t have to worry about the lower liquidity on Ethereum and BSC - both of these blockchains function independently with Blockchain Bridge serving as a coin exchange. SpaceSwap gives users freedom of choice - they can decide which blockchain works best for them.

What about other chains?

Of course, the community is not satisfied with connection to Ethereum and BSC only - there’s a bunch of other efficient blockchains too. Particularly, the community has expressed a desire for a connect to xDai, Polkadot and ADA as these blockchains are fully decentralized.

So far, SpaceSwap focuses on Ethereum Layer 2 chains and BSC, since they solve the problem of fees and have become increasingly popular among users from all over the world. With the current technological support of the Binance team, the BSC blockchain proves to be safe and efficient. It’s worth mentioning that it’s easier to adapt products and services to such networks. ADA, Polkadot and certain other networks are more technologically sophisticated when it comes to the task of integration.

SpaceSwap is doing everything possible to maintain the stability and safety of users’ assets and data. The team doesn’t want to compromise this by moving too quickly onto other blockchains but it is highly interested in Polkadot. Probably, this blockchain will be connected later.

Concerns about MILK2

With some users being worried about MILK2 minting issues, Vladimir Nikitin addressed and alleviated these concerns by explaining that the tokenomics model is being improved with every update. The use cases for MILK2 are continuously growing and SpaceSwap is looking forward to introducing synthetic trading as one of the new token utilities. Meanwhile, mining becomes more and more complicated, so the value of MILK2 is expected to grow exponentially. Besides, if you count how much MILK2 is required to get SHAKE coins, you will be surprised.

The NFT collection is growing

Do not forget that SpaceSwap continues to issue new NFTs - they give their owners various privileges such as increased MILK2 farming rates as well as other perks. Users are particularly interested in the Celestial Partnership Card that’s given to those that own 10 NFTs (or more). If you haven’t bought one yet - there’s still a chance. So far, 7 NFTs have been made available for purchase and the SpaceSwap team is considering adding 3 more tokens. No more details can be disclosed at this time because the double-sided partnership agreements aren’t fully finalized yet.

At the moment, the CEO’s Twitter account is suspended - the team is waiting for the ban to be lifted.
