Summer is over and you might think that we have been chilling a bit during the hot season, so there wouldn’t be much to say in the current digest. If you believe that, you couldn’t be more wrong! This summer turned out to be very productive for the team and we’re actually approaching the new season prepared.

SpaceSwap Starter was launched with its first public event
We made the announcement about our own launchpad just a few weeks ago and a short time later, our team managed to conduct the first event - the Marnotaur community token sale. The event went smoothly: thanks to your feedback we identified a couple of weak spots and are now working on them. SpaceSwap Starter is now running on the Ethereum network, with plans to soon add Binance Smart Chain, and some other networks as well. In order to participate in the events on the launchpad, platform users need to stake MILK2, SpaceSwap’s native tokens, which is a great use case for the token! All projects conducting sales on the platform are thoroughly checked by our managers, making them a good investment idea.

SpaceSwap Bridge has been restored
Hurray! The SpaceSwap Bridge service for SHAKE and MILK2 swapping between Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain is back up and running!
This summer was really hot for us! In the middle of July, SpaceSwap was attacked, which resulted in the urgent halt of the SpaceSwap Bridge service. We have a serious approach to security issues, so we really took the time to make sure that such incidents do not happen again.
What we did:
1) We divided the system into more layers, with individual access to each.
2) We split all the access points for higher security.
3) We strengthened the encryption systems.
4) We also modified the internal regulations for working with the system.
Once again, thank you for your patience. It allowed us to take the time to guarantee the security of the solution.

SpaceSwap integrates Chainlink Price Feeds on BSC
With the development of our multi-borrowing / lending protocol, we realize that there is demand for us to get access to high-quality, tamper-proof, price feeds. This is why we chose Chainlink - the industry’s leading decentralized oracle network. It is intended to provide our users with a strong assurance that SpaceLend references accurate price data when utilizing a variety of cryptocurrencies on the platform.
The initial integration will involve the use of Chainlink Price Feeds for the following pairs: BNB/USD, CAKE/USD, BUSD/USD and USDT/USD.
After reviewing various oracle solutions, we chose Chainlink Price Feeds because they provide a multitude of critical features, such as:
- High-Quality Data
- Secure Node Operators
- A Decentralized Network
- A Reputation System
Chainlink will help us to take advantage of decentralized oracle networks. Each node sources price data from multiple premium off-chain data aggregators, helping ensure that the data source itself reflects a volume-adjusted average that’s aggregated from both CEXs and DEXs. This will help feed accurate on-chain prices to our smart contracts when managing loans and checking loan collateralization.
